Project 366, November 2016

Our trip to Japan was half in October, half in November, so it's not surprising that a couple more photos from the trip made it into this month's favorite photos. You can see the rest on the November page. One more month to go.

My favorite photo for November was this one taken of the floating torii at Miyajima.

We had timed it so we would see both the sunset (and along with it, the lights which make the torii appear to glow) and low tide (so we could get closer to it). This photo was just after the sun went behind the hills, but the tide was still high enough to give a good reflection.

Another shot I liked from the month was taken at University Village. Their holiday decorations are starting to show up, and I happened to be there at the right time to catch the after-sunset color in the sky.

I also enjoyed this photo taken at Kenrokuen Garden in Kanazawa. The poles and ropes are used to support the branches so they stay in position when the snow weighs them down. I liked the lines made by the ropes.

You can find the rest of the photos on the November page.
